Plain cream cheese
  • 8 slices of bread
  • 8 slices of Grison meat
  • 1 tub of Alsace Lait plain cream cheese spread
  • 4 handfuls of fresh spinach
  • Olive oil, salt, pepper, unsalted butter

Preparation

  1. Wash the spinach, cook in a frying pan with a drizzle of olive oil, salt, pepper and a crushed clove of garlic. Set aside. 

  2. Butter the outside of the slices of bread.

  3. Spread Alsace Lait cream cheese on the croque-monsieur sandwiches, cover with sautéed spinach and 2 slices of Bündnerfleisch, then cook in a sandwich toaster or under the grill for approx. 3 to 4 minutes. 

  4. Enjoy the croque monsieur hot, accompanied by a green salad.
