An Alsatian cooperative

title-line.d7fc4fda.svg

The Alsace Lait Cooperative was created in 1979 when the Laiterie Centrale de Strasbourg, founded in 1915, joined forces with four cooperatives in the region. Producers and employees are united by the same goal: to promote milk from Alsatian cows.

Alsace's rich and vibrant culinary culture has made it one of the best regions for gastronomy. Alsace is also a region where the dynamism of its people has maintained its traditions while developing modern practices.

Some of them have shaped our dairy industry and with Alsace Lait have created , a cooperative that is the shared property of all producers.

Deeply attached to its regional roots, the Alsace Lait Cooperative is working to promote its gourmet products and widen distribution beyond the boundaries of Alsace.

A commitment to excellence

Since 1915, our dairy has been able to modernise its production facilities, while maintaining the authenticity of our recipes.
Our products are subject to rigorous quality and hygiene standards:

  • On our farms, with dairy farmers who are committed on a daily basis to a quality system controlled by farming technicians from the Alsace Lait Cooperative.
  • In our dairy, thanks to the expertise of our staff and our integrated control laboratory which analyses every stage in the production of our products.

It's this passion for their work that enables these men and women to offer products of excellence, like our PGI crème fraîche for pouring with its Label Rouge quality label.

In addition, we regularly offer new gourmet products and work as hard as we can on making our recipes as natural as possible, reducing the use of additives to the bare minimum and replacing them with natural alternatives.
