Production equipment
We regularly invest to modernise our production lines.
These investments give us the ability to optimise our processes, innovate and adapt to changing market needs, while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
In addition, improved ergonomics at our facilities are improving working conditions for our line operators.
In 2025, this momentum continued with more than €31 million in investments committed, several of which benefited from the support of the Grand Est Region and the European Union through the EAFRD programme – European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
More specifically, the Grand Est Region contributed €300,000 towards the financing of a new packaging line, representing an investment of €1.17 million.
A €700,000 grant from the EAFRD also supported nearly €4 million in investments dedicated to modernising our equipment: reverse osmosis for milk, a new cream separator, additional storage capacity, a new refrigeration unit, a compressed air system, a robot for a fruit dosing station, and a new labelling machine.
These are key investments that will enable us to continue modernising our production facilities in Alsace and prepare for the future of the cooperative.

Our IFS-certified dairy
Our dairy at Hoerdt is IFS Food v7 certified.
IFS (International Featured Standards) is a highly demanding international standard that certifies the quality and safety system of foodstuffs at every stage of production.
Combating food waste
In our business, which focuses on fresh produce with limited shelf life, stock management is a constant challenge.
That is why we give away our products as they approach their use-by date. Despite their perfect quality, these products cannot be sold by our regular clients because of their short shelf life. In this case, we redistribute them as donations to food banks.

Climate
After carrying out an initial greenhouse gas assessment, Alsace Lait signed a letter of commitment with the SBTi (Science-Based Target initiative) to set science-based targets for reducing our GHG emissions.
To achieve these targets, we are already taking steps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by our milk production, our energy consumption and our supply chains.
