Our dairy at Hoerdt is IFS Food v7 certified.
IFS (International Featured Standards) is a highly demanding international standard that certifies the quality and safety system of foodstuffs at every stage of production.
Combating food waste
In our business, which focuses on fresh produce with limited shelf life, stock management is a constant challenge.
That is why we give away our products as they approach their use-by date. Despite their perfect quality, these products cannot be sold by our regular clients because of their short shelf life. In this case, we redistribute them as donations to food banks.

Climate
After carrying out an initial greenhouse gas assessment, Alsace Lait signed a letter of commitment with the SBTi (Science-Based Target initiative) to set science-based targets for reducing our GHG emissions.
To achieve these targets, we are already taking steps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by our milk production, our energy consumption and our supply chains.
